Founder - Marcus Webster
Marcus R. Webster
Friendship to partnership since 1982, Marcus R. Webster, a laid-off GM assembly worker, met Virgil Phillips (founder) and was invited to volunteer and work with youth on the weekends playing basketball and baseball at St. Rita Catholic Church. That commitment has lasted over 20 years and has grown into one of the best after-school enrichment programs in Detroit. A normal day for Marcus begins with going to work as a computer expert currently employed with Bosch. Marcus has used his expertise to setup four computer centers in the area with partnering organizations – Arab American Council, Emmanuel Community House, NHEC & REACH.
